Landema - Groupe Biolandes
Whenever possible, Landema favors the production of essential oils from organic and fair-trade sources.
We are no exception when it comes to Patchouli(Pogostemon cablin) essential oil: the plant is grown on our Ambaja plantation in north-west Madagascar. Once the nursery-prepared seedlings have been planted, the patchouli will grow quite rapidly, protected by shade trees. It can be cut every 3 months, i.e. 3 to 4 times a year. The leaves, harvested by hand, are then dried on racks in the factory, in the shade. The leaves are then distilled for 8 hours in a stainless-steel alembic, with steam produced continuously by a wood-fired boiler, fed by wood harvested from our forest plots.
All our production is certified FFL (Fair for Life) and Organic by Ecocert. Our certificates and attestations can be downloaded directly from our website.
The essential oil, packaged in cans to optimize transport, is then sent to our headquarters in the Landes region of France, without any further intermediaries. There, it undergoes several quality controls in our laboratories. Guaranteed 100% pure, natural and integral directly from the manufacturer, it is now available on our online boutique, and comes straight to you.
